Vodka Store

The next render was made for a project in which we needed to choose a brand whose main product was not clothing and create a series of clothing displays based on it.

My team selected Absolut Vodka as the brand, and taking it's use of transparent glass and lights for their posters, we started designing the displays.

The render was made by me using alias in about three hours, and was presented as the cover art for the whole project, which included sketches and creative process.

The next image explains what is each thing in the render, but I didn't want to place just that image because I like the render without the letters much better.

Broken Wood Chair

About a year ago I was working in a project for the school which required me to go to a sawmill and found a pile of broken wood planks, and started thinking about what could be done with them... it all came down to this idea.

All the pieces

This chair could be called the daughter of the Bubble Table presented before in this blog because it was  made on the same idea of space efficiency.

This chair can be mounted and dismounted without any problem and therefore can be stocked for future use without taking up so much space.

Assembled

Up to this date this chair has been displayed at the workshop in the ITESM at San Luis Potosi.

Bubble Table

One of my very first projects as a student, the bubble table was designed as a coffee table some three years from now, I forced my mom to place it in the house and I still use it today!

First Sketch

The table, as it's name suggests, was based on the forms created by bubbleologists in their shows.

This table is entirely built on MDF and can be mounted and dismounted by a single person in less than a minute.

By far one of my favorite pieces in this portfolio, it changed a lot from the original idea because I wanted it to be very space-efficient.

Sketching

Mexico is a country filled with different cultures, with different traditions, and all of these cultures have their own handicrafts. So it's not to be surprised when a mexican industrial designer takes some of these handicrafts and incorporates them to their work

That is what I aimed for when creating this piece of jewelry, based on the handicrafts made by artisans in almost all colonial cities in the center of the nation, like San Miguel De Allende and Queretaro.

I took these techniques and the colors from the volcanoes that are scattered all around Michoacan and Mexico City.

Rendering

The result was the creation of a necklace built from transparent and transparent-blue crystal, imitating the snow in the volcanoes, and copper wire, which is an essential part of this jewelry in Mexico.
